Error 503 every time

    Hello,

I have no idea what is wrong with my website. Almost every time, it turns up Error 503 when I do something as simple as a page refresh or whenever I select a product.

Even when I'm adding a new product or portfolio,  whenever I try to add attributes, it becomes a problem.

This is becoming rather unbearable. Can you please look into what the cause of this is? It is costing me business. I'll appreciate any help on this. This has been going for about 2 months now and I'm totally helpless.

    Regards.

Where is Support for crying out loud? It's been over 24 hours since I submitted this ticket and I'm not getting any response. Do you need a bad review or something?

    Hello,

    Sorry for the late reply.

You can try add code in file wp-config.php and check again.

    define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '512M');
    set_time_limit(300);

Thank you Alex. I've implemented this code in the wp-config file. I'll continue to monitor the website for the next 24 - 48 hours and revert. Can you explain what this piece of code does in its entirety? I understand the first line of code but I'll like you to explain the second line of code and how it works together with the first line.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

When called, set_time_limit() restarts the timeout counter from zero. In other words, if the timeout is the default 30 seconds, and 25 seconds into script execution a call such as set_time_limit(20) is made, the script will run for a total of 45 seconds before timing out.

Thank you for your explanation and efforts Alex. However, we still experienced the issue today. We currently have had to pause our ongoing promotions on Search Engine and Social Media because visitors to the website are sending in screenshots of that same error 503.

Please help look into this. I read somewhere that it is plugins shooting up the Server RAM. Can this be true? I also monitored the server statistics in cPanel and kept noticing random spikes in the RAM usage whenever the Error 503 situation arises.

If you need access to the cPanel, I can surely provide you with that.

    Hello,

I think to solve the problem soon you need to upgrade the RAM from the host side. We will check out the theme and notify you at the earliest.

  • tessy448 replied

I think you need to check the theme because other website owners on the same host are not complaining of such issues. We upgraded the website hosting to unlimited but this problem still persists. Please look at your theme and check for plugins that are shooting up RAM usage. It's urgent and critical to our business that this problem is fixed please.

Please what is happening? Sometimes, I try to load a page in the Admin backend and I get Page Not Found. I've attached a screenshot of me visiting the Plugins page and getting Page Not Found. What is going on with your theme?

Help Me!!!!!!!!!!! I'm about to lose it

    hello,

Sorry. We tried to find the error but were still unable to find the problem you were having.

  • tessy448 replied

Just browsing the website like a normal user or an Admin making rounds in the dashboard sends the Server RAM hitting the charts. You need to look into this...

My 6 months support expires next months and this has been a pain in my neck. The only respite I've had is switching to the default Twenty Twenty theme. It basically tells that this is a theme issue.

You need to figure out something. The theme is up-to-date and should not be making me lose business.

    Hello,

Try upgrading Physical Memory Usage. Currently it takes up only 1G of space.

  • tessy448 replied

Please kindly explain why your theme is consuming 1Gb of Server RAM. This is the first time I'm experiencing something like this in over 6 years.

  • tessy448 replied

I spoke to my web host and the below is their response on this issue.

If you need to offer more resources to your customer, I am afraid you would need to look at using a VPS or Dedicated Cloud Server instead of using the shared web hosting account.

Are you insinuating I ask a small business to upgrade to a VPS or Dedicated Cloud Server because your theme keeps messing up? Why is 1Gb of RAM not enough for the Modus theme to function on seamlessly? Your team needs to fix this asap and stop trying to shift the blame and solution onto me.

  • tessy448 replied

You have chosen not to respond. How convenient for you that your business is killing a customer's business! A customer who paid in full for your product only to be delivered a theme that crashes every now and then.

    Hello,

I think you know the disadvantages of the shared host. We offer you increase Physical memory to help your site works better.

You can see this article to know more detail about the shared host: https://wemanagewebsite.com/blog/disadvantages-shared-hosting/

I know that you don't want to spend more money on a VPS host or another host, but I think if you want your business growth you need to invest.

Of course we will improve our items, thank you for your feedback.

I promise that we will support you 2 months more after your support expires, so I hope you can make a decision to change your hosting.

    Best regards,
