We have installed magento 2 correctly and is working on two different servers.  Have installed the theme but cannot get in to the backend.  (Front end working fine).  The following error is thrown.

There has been an error processing your request
Two 'add' commands cannot have equal id (Magento_Backend::mgs)

Both servers have the same issue. 2 separate developers ran into the exact same issue.  Can you please help.

I have managed to get it working by editing  ./app/code/MGS/Core/etc/adminhtml/menu.xml

I have commented out the <menu> item.  However is this going to be a problem? And what problem will it cause?

Update:     These issues have been SOLVED when I reinstalled from scratch and followed through with the patching instructions exactly in the correct order.  We also had a test version of front end builder on that site which may have also caused problems.

However now we are faced with a new issue:  So far we have not yet been able to test the theme or use the front end builder (which is why we bought the theme.) The old temporary test site on siteground was https://carlh2.sg-host.com and now no longer exists.

A new temporary test site has been created which is https://carlh3.sg-host.com   In order to activate this now requires us to use the magesolution form ------

    https://www.magesolution.com/change-domain/

"This form allows you to change the domain of our ThemeForest's themes. Note that: you can only change once, make sure you fill in the correct information. "

I have not changed it yet because it says "only change once."  We still haven't been able to test anything at all and now we are down to 'one chance' left to test.

We are concerned that this means once we have finished testing on this temporary site we will no longer be able to install the theme on the real site.

    To summarise the issues are:

    1. we have not been able to test the theme or included front-end builder

    2. we have now 'lost' our chance to test the theme because the first installation was not successful and we now have only one chance left

    Hello jchamie ,

    Thank for your ticket.

Please read this article. You can setup 1 domain for active theme and you have install subdomain for develop.

    Thanks.

    Hello Thong,

Thank you, I understand that - however the issue we have is this:

Once it goes on the server and we link it to a domain we have 0 chances left to change it because our one chance has already gone on a failed installation.

We need peace of mind that if we install it live on the server we can change the domain name ONCE if necessary.  As it stands we have ZERO options to change it.

    Hello jchamie,

    Thank for your reply.

You can set up a domain name to live site and can set multiple subdomains to develop the website. After successful development, you can move the entire code from the devsite to livesite, it will help you avoid having to activate the active theme multiple times. According to our rules, you have a certain number of times to change a domain name. Please do your job, if a problem occurs, please contact us. We will review and assist you to the extent we can.

    Happy new year!

    Thanks.
